Found out today’s #worldmusicday and it made me Found out today’s #worldmusicday and it made me realise its phenomenal significance in my life. Music has always offered me solace, joy and a sense of spontaneous fulfillment. All my life I’ve mostly sang alone or in a choir, but somewhere the stage came along and now a kind group of listeners. •

This year has given me the confidence to sing more, enjoy and respect my voice, and share with a wider audience. I now sing like everyone’s listening, even when no one is. I’m paying attention to my vocals and recognise how the music plays with each word. I’m more attuned to my breathing and keep testing it with different notes. •

If anything, this is the beginning of a life long journey and I can’t wait to see what’s more. To everyone who has a relationship with music, wishing you a more musical & transformational year ahead. To growth. 🌱

Creating this episode has been an immensely rewarding experience for me. I’ve come out more inspired and grounded.

I sincerely hope this episode will encourage you all to relook at how certain identities carry more weight and through it build more empathy in our worlds. •

Thank you, @sabikaness for helping in designing such a beautiful episode format. Thank you for being the first listener to my story and in the process turning me into a storyteller. •

Parasite shows a mirror to our privileged selves a Parasite shows a mirror to our privileged selves and reflects the miseries we choose as luxuries. The richness that reeks of insecurity and fear. •

But most importantly, the social construct to blame the deprived of being poor. Make them suffer for being born on the weaker side of impoverishment. Ostracise them for wanting more. Punish them for walking beyond their means. And always, smell them out. •

Parasite is a lesson in social inequality and our inherent need to maintain those structures to restore our fragile egos. Link in bio.
